Converters saved us money

In these tough economic times, like everybody else, my wife and I are looking for ways to cut costs. So, when I was transferred from Los Angeles to London by the international company I work for, one of the things my wife and I were concerned about was whether we would be able to use our home electronics. We had an older TV, so we planned on getting a new one anyway. When we got across the pond we started looking for electric converters and at new televisions. We looked at some of the major chain stores we have here, but couldn’t find anything we liked. Then we found 110220volt.com, or Overseas Best Buy. We were impressed by the quality of the merchandise available on the site, as well as the prices. And the customer service we received made us feel confident that we were buying from the right company.

We bought a new Sony KLV-40V400A 40” Multi-System LCD TV. We love this TV. We got a great deal on the price, and it was shipped UPS international, so we got it delivered straight to our door in under a week. We were able to track our new TV from start to finish, and we didn’t have to wonder where it was. We also bought a couple of voltage converters for some of the smaller items we brought with us, like our cameras and my wife’s bathroom gadgets, including her hair dryer, her curling irons, her straightening iron and more (which she said she would eventually replace).

Now what I need to talk my wife into buying is one of the Sony multi system code free DVD home theatre systems. I really want to go for the wireless model, but at this point I think I am going to be doing good to get one with wires. I have told her that we need to get one of these, because it will play all of our movies that we brought with us and what ever new ones we buy here. It would be a real pain to try to sell all our movies and favorite TV series’ to friends or a resale store for a fraction of what we paid for them. If we have to move again, this new system and our new TV will work wherever we go and we won’t have to worry about having to buy a new one again.
